SE BELMONT: While one half of the former Dixie Mattress space has apparently been claimed by a pizza place, it looks like the other half will soon blossom into a vegetarian-friendly spot called, unGoogleably, Nebraska. The liquor license application reveals that Liam Duffy, a co-founder of Alberta's vegan bar Bye & Bye, is behind the project, and from the looks of things, it's another bar (or at least a restaurant with super-late-night hours). Planned hours of operation are noon to 2:30am daily. [OLCC]
WOODSTOCK: Liquor license applications also reveal that paperwork has been filed for the old Lutz Tavern space, under the new tradename Lutz's Tavern. Is a resurrection of the Woodstock dive in order? The application was filed by Big Rob Style, LLC, who are also the proprietors behind N. Mississippi's Crow Bar. [OLCC]
NORTHEAST: FYI from Andy Ricker: "Pok Pok Noi has changed its phone number to 503 287 4149. A person (who's apparently a prominent member of the neighborhood clergy!) whose personal number is similar to our original number has been getting calls from people asking for to-go orders, which has infuriated him to the point that he is calling our staff and screaming at them when this occurs." Welcome to the neighborhood? [EaterWire]
