The Portland juggernaut continues its world tour. Next stop? Beverly Hills, baby. The Jonsson Cancer Center Foundation will host its 16th annual Taste for a Cure this Friday at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. But, surprise, this year's swill soiree is featuring only the top chefs and wines from Portland and the Willamette Valley including Adelsheim Vineyard, Archery Summit, Chehalem, Domaine Drouhin Oregon and Ponzi among other local wineries.
The honorary co-chair is actress Laura Linney and the night will include performances by Glee's Matthew Morrison and Dancing With the Stars' Julianne Hough. Oregon chefs joining the big party include Jory's Sunny Jin, Beaker & Flask's Benjamin Bettinger, Lincoln's Jenn Louis, the Painted Lady's Allen Routt and Dustin Clark from Wildwood.
Oregon, are you ready to rub elbows with the likes of Florence Henderson, Ali McGraw, Josie Bissett, and Betty White? If anybody's up for a road trip, tickets are still available at $500 a pop.
