In today's lunchtime EaterWire, we're nursing a hangover by writing up more booze-related events on the calendar.
OLD TOWN: Crepe-and-cocktail lounge Central will host a "Tasting Table" event with House Spirits Distillery on Monday, April 18, featuring spirits tastings from the House portfolio, a couple helpings of the house punch du jour, dinner (featuring salad and a savory crepe), and dessert bites. The $35 reservation is all inclusive of food and drink; snag your spot here.
N. MISSISSIPPI: Fresh off a James Beard Award nomination for his book Salted, the Meadow's resident salt expert Mark Bitterman is going to have a drink. On Thursday, April 28, the Meadow will host a "Spring Cocktail Class," schooling participants in the basics of bitters, salt, vermouths, aperitifs, and classic cocktails like Negronis. The $30 reservation includes all tastings.
CONVENTION CENTER: FYI: The annual Spring Beer and Wine Festival invades the Convention Center on April 22 and 23, with more than 80 beers and 30 wine pours available during the daylong event.
