CENTRAL EASTSIDE INDUSTRIAL: Olympic Provisions has officially christened every Friday from here on out "Frankfurter Friday," serving $5 house made hot dogs until 5pm for your pre-weekend weenie fix (that's what she said). And to keep the salami jokes rollin', a new daily happy hour, now available from 3-7pm, features a "shot" (one ounce) of salami and a specially paired wine back: Buy the meat and the booze is just $1.
CENTRAL EASTSIDE INDUSTRIAL: Should spring ever arrive to Portland, Beaker & Flask's announced plans to hold a weekly picnic in the parking lot on Tuesday evenings. Chef Ben Bettinger will man the spit roaster featuring the animal carcass du jour, served picnic-style with side dishes. The first event is scheduled for Tuesday, April 26: Cross your fingers the sun will be shining.
N. WILLIAMS: When does Jenn Louis ever have time to sleep? In addition to opening her new spot, Sunshine Tavern, next week, Louis will pair with Apolloni Vineyards for a "Pasta and Pinot" pairing dinner at Lincoln on April 27. The $50, four-course menu includes all wine pours.
