Italian-goes-vegan restaurant Portobello Vegan Trattoria is unveiling a new family-style menu dubbed "Down the Hatch" (according to chef Aaron Adams, the name is an homage to former chef de cuisine, Neil Murphy). For $20/head, a group of anywhere between four and 10 people share opening courses of antipasti, salad, and a tureen of soup; any pizza off the menu (new options include asparagus, lemon, and arugula, or a baby artichoke with mushrooms); and a vegan "ice cream party" for dessert, complete with toppings and fixin's.
