As Eater's Burger Week kicks off, so does our quest to find the best burger in town — which will go on to represent our fair city in a national face-off against our other Eater cities to crown the country's best burger. But since we in Portland love our burgers, and thus, have done this before, we've decided to truly represent PDX by nominating our Favorite Food Cart Burgers. And that's where you came in.
After sifting through your nominations, we've drawn the battle lines across town, and a dozen burger-serving carts will rep their 'hoods — Downtown/SW, Northeast, North Portland, and Southeast — in a territorial contest to name each neighborhood's best. The four top burgers will move onto the citywide contest, with the winner crowned Thursday night... and that juicy baby will move onto the national competition, which kicks off on Eater National Friday.
So, let's get started, shall we? In today's battle for the downtown/Southwest lunch crowds, we have Brunch Box vs. veggie-friendly DC Vegetarian vs. Happy Grillmore.
