The NW 23rd space that was once home to Laurelwood Brewing's NW Public House (it closed just before the new year) will soon welcome the similarly-named (but apparently unaffiliated) NorthWest Public House. An internet paper trail reveals that owners are aiming to turn the space into an "upscale gastropub," expanding on Laurelwood's pub menu to offer "consistently excellent food quality and specials that are constantly fresh and surprising." Projected opening date: May 14. [EaterWire]
