Our neighbors to the north — Washingtonians, not Canadians — will visit downtown Portland this weekend with hundreds of bottles of wine in tow: The first-annual Taste Washington in Portland will pour this Sunday, May 1, highlighting the state's status as the second largest premium wine producer in the U.S. The Pearl's PureSpace plays host to the event, which features sips by more than 100 Washington wineries from Adams Bench to Woodward Estates; bites will be provided by local PDX restaurants like A Cena, Pour Wine Bar, and Thirst Wine Bar.
Tickets are still available on the official site, but we have two pairs of tickets to give away to lucky Eater readers. Just email us with "Taste Washington" in the subject head by noon on Friday, and we'll select two winners at random to get wino.
