Special Pairing Dinners on Menu at Podnah's Pit, Genoa

N. KILLINGSWORTH: Two words: Beer, BBQ. Podnah's Pit will team with Double Mountain Brewing for an all-you-can-eat-and-drink dinner tonight (Thursday), featuring pitboss Rodney Muirhead's famous smoked meats. The $40 family-style meal includes at least four courses (appetizers include house charcuterie and iceberg wedge salad), while "roving servers will make sure your glass stays full." A few seats are still available for the 6pm and 8pm seatings; get on it quick.

BELMONT: Under the guidance of still new-ish sommelier Michael Garofola, Genoa continues its strong series of wine dinners with an event on Monday, May 16 featuring Slovenia's Movia wines. Winemaker Aleš Kristancic will be on-hand during the five-course meal to talk about the natural, biodynamic wine movement and share stories about his family's winery (which has been in business since 1820). $95; reservations required.
