Sarah Curtis-Fawley and Chris Powell, the Down Under duo behind Pacific Pie Co., have inspired enough crust cravings to go from farmer's market stand to retail shop to, now, full-on restaurant. As promised earlier this year, Pacific Pie has relocated into larger digs and obtained a liquor license, offering its Australian-style sweet and savory pies in a space on SE 7th that's half quick-service cafe and half sit-down pub.

On the cafe side, Curtis-Fawley serves her familiar pies and patsies (a "Sunday roast" lamb pie is braised in a red wine reduction with potatoes and yams; the beef & stout pie stews the beef in Laurelwood Brewing's Space Stout). For those seeking table service and/or boozery, the pub offers the same pie menu alongside additional options including starters (cocktail sausage rolls), salads (like a bacon-and-parm-laden "Aussie Caesar"), and sides like soup, slaw, and mashed potatoes. The bar's currently stocked with three rotating taps, eight bottled beer options, and a selection of wines primarily from Down Under.

And for those with a sweet tooth, desserts include pie slices (obvs) like chocolate bourbon hazelnut and apple sour cream streusel; for a uniquely Oz-inspired sweet, Curtis-Fawley cooks up Aussie Lamingtons (a chocolate-and-coconut-coated sponge cake). Pacific Pie Co. is now open seven days a week, 11am to 9pm.
