"I'm kind of nervous," said John Gorham. "I've never done this in public before."
The dude behind North Portland's Toro Bravo and Tasty N Sons wasn't talking about his cooking. No, the accomplished chef was chatting about his first-ever DJ duties for the "Triple Anniversary Party" he threw for his two going-strong restaurants as well as Tasty N Sons' brand new neighbor, the super-cute Chop Butchery.
As for anniversarys, it's been four years for Toro Bravo, one year for Tasty N Sons, and Chop Butchery just opened last week. For the night, Gorham served a lot of customer favorites from both restaurants, while Chop laid out an amazing meat spread. As for the spinning, Gorham provided nothing but soul platters for the crowd's aural entertainment.
