The Portland Farmers Market announced today that a Saturday winter market, to run from January to February 2012, is in the works... if only market organizers can find a covered space to play host. According to executive director Trudy Toliver, the hunt is on for a "8,000 to 10,000 square foot space that is protected from the wet winter weather in the central city on either east or west side," with early plans to feature 50 vendor stalls with the usual market fare: produce, meat, and prepared foods. Anyone with a location tip is encouraged to contact the PFM. [EaterWire]
