Three's a trend: With the apparent impending arrival of a Mellow Mushroom pizza chain, here's the skinny on a couple more:

GRESHAM: A Washington-based pizza chain unfortunately named The Rock, Wood Fired Pizza & Spirits has announced expansion plans, with its first Oregon location scheduled to open in Gresham this June. Per the press release, the rock 'n' roll-themed pizza joint — which features 23 pizza combinations and a mixed drink called "The Bucket" (a blend of five rums "served in a freakin’ bucket!") — is also planning to expand into "seven new locations in the Vancouver, Wash. and Portland, Ore. markets in the next few years." [EaterWire]

DOWNTOWN: The Oregonian reports that the much-delayed Portland outpost of Via Tribunali is now scheduled for a July opening. The project, which has been a twinkle in restaurateur Bruce Carey's eye since at least January 2010, would bring the Seattle-based Neaopolitan pizza joint to a SW Ankeny space with, according to the O's Michael Russell, no real kitchen. Additional details: "The cafe will have no seats, just a small window and perhaps a thin stand-up counter." [OregonLive]
