Taste of the Nation 2011

totnbamboo.jpg

If all of Portland seems like it's in a drunken food-coma haze, last night's Taste of the Nation 2011 is probably to blame. Among the standout bites? Eater hoarded took our fair share of Bamboo Sushi's Oregon albacore carpaccio (dressed with ginger), Boke Bowl's edamame cakes with housemade kimchi, Aviary's pork sliders with papaya slaw, and on the sweet side, Screen Door's chocolate and peanut butter mini-pies. But we're not here to gloat — instead, consider this your friendly reminder that you can still donate to the worthy cause by heading over to Share Our Strength's website: Remember, this food coma was induced to help ensure that no child in Oregon ever goes hungry.
