LAKE OSWEGO: The formerly special-order-only Crave Bake Shop, a gluten-free bakery that recently rocked it on an episode of the Food Network's Cupcake Wars, will open its first brick-and-mortar location next week in Lake Oswego. The retail location (on Fifth Street) will feature all gluten-free cupcakes, cinnamon rolls, scones, cookies, tarts, doughnuts, and cream puffs. Doors are scheduled to open next Friday (May 13) at 10am. [EaterWire]
McMINNVILLE: The Oregonian reports that Thistle chef Eric Bechard is adding another notch to his belt: Hot on the heels of opening the neighborhood spot Community Plate, Bechard will debut a 1920's Ivy-League-themed sports bar called Oak & Ivy later this July. [OregonLive]
