Friday night the James Beard Foundation announced the winners of the 2011 Book, Broadcast & Journalism Awards: Portland's own Kim Boyce (Good to the Grain) and the Meadow's Mark Bitterman (Salted: A Manifesto) were among the cookbook winners, and the anonymous Ruth Bourdain won the first-ever Humor award.
