New Supperclub; Kin Takes Flight; Bazi Bierbrasserie Opens

NORTHEAST: A "scrappy DIY venture" going by the name Snowflake Supperclub is throwing its debut dinner at NE Glisan's Bakery Bar this Sunday, June 5. The "Monk and Explorer"-themed menu, inspired by "what it might be like if a Buddhist Monk and a European Explorer sat down and shared a meal," will feature dishes like Tibetan barley bread, roasted wild boar leg, water buffalo jerky, and saffron fish pie. Reservations to the $40 dinner are available by inquiring here. [EaterWire]

PEARL DISTRICT: In an attempt to coax out some summery feelings, Kevin Shikami at Kin is unveiling a weekly rose flight, with three rotating pours and an optional amuse pairing for each. This week's inaugural flight features tastes from Matello Winery, Jean-Luc Colombo, and Domaine de Fontsainte. [EaterWire]

SOUTHEAST: Belgian beer bar Bazi Bierbrasserie made its debut in the old Cafe Magnolia space over the holiday weekend, touting 17 (!) taps of Belgian-style beers and a menu "with an influence from the Dutch, French, Spanish, and a touch of Italy." PoMo's resident beer man John Chandler has already filed a report of his first impressions. The verdict: "I will be back like the Terminator." [Facebook, Bar Pilot]
