Is the country's cupcake craze on the wane? Not really, but it may be shrinking — at least where the size of the cupcake is concerned. To appeal to, uh, health-conscious cupcake eaters, many shops have started focusing on mini cupcakes, with the thinking that smaller cakes mean less sugar and carbs. But in reality, consumers end up eating more of the minis because, well, they're just so damn cute and tasty. Eater National tracks the trend with a couple of highly scientific graphs. [-E-]
