DOWNTOWN: Coming soon to the SW Morrison spot that once hosted AJ on the Rails: The very Italian-looking Mucca Osteria, which has filed a liquor license application for the 40-seat space right off the MAX line. In a related note, Eater is currently seeking Italian speakers/translators to decipher this Facebook page. [Plywood Report]

CENTRAL EASTSIDE INDUSTRIAL: As part of a now-annual tradition, Clarklewis chef Dolan Lane will celebrate the Fourth of July during a "Outdoor American Dinner and Fireworks Party" that sets up outside the restaurant. The $55, multi-course meal features Fourth-appropriate fare like grilled chicken, roasted pork shoulder, and a flurry of gussied- up summery side dishes (corn on the cob, slaw, stewed cranberry beans), not to mention a view of the city of Portland's annual firework spectacular. FOSTER-POWELL: A commenter at PortlandFood.org digs up some information about the unfortunately-named Torta-landia, a "torteria, cafe, and margarita bar" by the owners of Oregon City's Mi Famiglia Wood Oven Pizzeria. The spot takes over a space once home to the Rock Cafe; scheduled opening is early July. [PF.org]
