J. Barwikowski, Evan Zimmerman Linked to Stumptown Bar

The Oregonian does some more digging into the long-stewing "Stumptown tavern" project, which has been in the build-out stage in March. And though all parties — including the main man, Duane Sorenson — are remaining mum on the subject, the O's Michael Russell re-affirms the rumor that Olympic Provisions alum Jason Barwikowski is aboard as chef... and then adds Evan Zimmerman, soon-to-be departing bartender at Laurelhurst Market, to the mix.

Though "Zimmerman said he'd been sworn to secrecy by his 'boss,' whom he wouldn't name," Russell does confirm that Zimmerman is leaving LM for a new project scheduled to open at the end of the summer. Build-out at the as-yet-unnamed "Stumptown tavern," he notes, could be completed as early as September 1.
