After taking a photo-happy jaunt down NW 23rd to solicit your guesses, Eater can confirm that the NW location of Bamboo Sushi will occupy the former Rose's Deli & Bakery space. According to Bamboo owner Kristofor Lofgren, the historic building, which was once a theater, will be completely restored to "its original luster" for the 90-seat restaurant.
The building's other tenants — Mio Gelato and Tribute's — will also have to vacate the premises, though Bamboo will not occupy Mio's current corner space. Demolition is scheduled to begin on July 1, with the restaurant's projected opening date slated for the end of October or early November.
