In today's EaterWire, the food events keep on coming:

N. WILLIAMS: David Welch, the man behind the stick at Lincoln, is expanding his "Bar Camp" series to include something more hoppy. Lincoln's "Beer Camp" — the first of which is scheduled for Saturday, July 23 — will move to Lincoln's sister establishment Sunshine Tavern and give guests a crash course in beer styles before breaking off into a family-style dinner paired with additional beer tastings. The July 23 event focuses on the Northwest's best summery beers; an August 20 date has been dubbed "Beer Camp 101," with a lesson on beer regions, styles, and flavor profiles. Reservations to the $75 camp are required and available by calling the restaurant.

FOREST PARK: In an event that really upstages your Fourth of July backyard BBQ, three Portland chefs team up for a Picnic in Forest Park fundraiser thrown by Portland Monthly. On Sunday, July 24, Ned Ludd's Jason French, Simpatica Dining Hall's Scott Ketterman, and Boke Bowl's Patrick Fleming will team up for the "gourmet summertime BBQ" at the World Forestry Center, with 100 percent of proceeds benefiting the Forest Park Conservancy's efforts. The family-friendly event kicks off at noon; tickets available here.

NW/ALPHABET DISTRICT: NW 21's Bastas Trattoria continues its summer tradition with an anniversary Tuscan Pig Roast slated to fire up on Thursday, July 21. Bastas owner Marco Frattaroli will roast two whole pigs over charcoal and serve them up family-style with an assortment of sides and wine from Italy's Lenzi's Petroio Estates. The $60 reservation is all-inclusive of food, drink, and gratuity.
