NORTHWEST: WWeek reports that Sonny Kim of the (ever-expanding) Mio Sushi chain has opened up a seafood market in the Alphabet District's Slabtown section: The Mio Seafood Market sells fresh catch in addition to pre-cut sashimi and sushi accoutrements (like noodles, nori, and avocados) from 9am-6pm, Monday-Saturday. DOWNTOWN: Downtown's newish steakhouse Portland Prime announced that it'll debut brunch service this Sunday, July 24. Sample menu items: 14-hour house smoked brisket hash and stuffed french toast. [EaterWire]

PORTLANDIA: The national "eat-and-meet" food experience Dishcrawl — like a bar crawl, it takes guests on neighborhood eating tours, stopping at four establishments over the course of one evening — is expanding into Portland. Its inaugural PDX event will visit NE Alberta in late August. FYI: Dining destinations are kept secret until just before the event takes place. [EaterWire]
