In a show of genuine do-gooding-ness, NE's Firehouse Restaurant will hold a benefit dinner on behalf of the fire-damaged Aviary on Monday — and as of this writing, seats are still available. The four-course family style menu includes a serious Firehouse feast of grilled pork ribs and jowls, rotisserie chicken, wood-fired anchovy flatbread, and sirloin tagliata (among other dishes); the recommended $35 donation also includes wine pours. All proceeds go directly to Aviary's rebuilding efforts. Reservations are available by calling 503-954-1702. [EaterWire]
