Hot on the heels of Oregon Craft Beer Month, Portland is set to launch its first-ever PDX Beer Week from August 19 to 28, with slightly more than a week's worth of celebrating the beeriest city in America. The 10-day event's main objective is pretty straightforward (ie, drink beer plz), but as per usual, Eater's got the rundown of the more food-focused fetes worth entering into your iCalendar. (FYI: Non-foodie events like the opening bash at the Horse Brass Pub and something called the Lagunitas Beer Circus are probably must-dos, too.)

1) Where: Spirit of 77
What: Spirit of 77 teams up with both Hopworks and Double Mountain for a beer brunch featuring individually priced (and paired) items for your brunching pleasure. Possibilities: Double Mountain's Vaporizer with a battered squid dish; a straightforward bacon and egg breakfast pairs with Hopworks' Survival 7 Grain Stout; cured salmon and potato pancakes with caviar get paired with Hopworks Batch 1000.
When: August 20, 9am to 1pm
Address: 500 NE MLK Boulevard; 503-232-9977

2) Where: Salt & Straw
What: The brand-spankin'-new Salt & Straw scoop shop will feature one different beer-infused ice cream flavor each day from the 22nd through August 26. During closing-night festivities (at SE Hawthorne's Bazi Bierbrasserie), tasters can sample all five flavors in one sitting, paired with their inspirations.
When: August 22-26, 1-10pm
Address: 2035 NE Alberta St.

3) Where: Roscoe's
What: In Montavilla, SE Stark's Roscoe's trades in its usual Southern-inspired cuisine to team up with Miyamoto Sushi for a one-off beer and sushi pairing dinner. The menu promises eight different food-and-drink pairings available a la carte (and with your choice of taster-sized glasses or full pints).
When: August 22, 6-9pm
Address: 8105 SE Stark St.; 503-954-3322

4) Where: The Hop & Vine
What: Five local brewers thrown down during a Brewers Burger Brawl, in which brewers Ben Love (Hopworks), Alex Ganum (Upright), Jason Mcadam (Burnside Brewing), Ben Edmunds (Breakside Brewing), and Vasilios Gletsos (Laurelwood) are expected to fire up the grill and pair one of their beers with a killer burger recipe. Guests will be able to taste the bistro-sized burgers and cast their vote for the best.
When: August 23, 6-10pm
Address: 1914 N. Killingsworth; 503-954-3322

5) Where: Jake's Grill
What: Jake's pairs with BridgePort Brewing Company for a five-course pairing dinner.
When: August 23, 7-9pm
Address: 11 SW 10th Ave.; 503-220-1850

6) Where: The East Burn
What: The East Burn pairs with Ninkasi Brewing to throw its first-ever "Beer Brunch," featuring three courses paired with Ninkasi brews: After a proscuitto, fruit, and cheese plate starter, brunchers will dig into an elk meatloaf and baked egg-topped biscuit (paired with the TriceraHOPS Double IPA) and oatmeal, nut, and honey pizzelles served with stout-infused ice cream.
When: August 28, 11am-2pm
Address: 1800 E. Burnside St.; 503-236-2876
