Typhoon! co-founder Steve Kline — who owned six locations of the Thai chain with his wife Bo — died suddenly over the weekend of a heart attack. Kline was 65 years old. In recent years, the Klines found themselves battling several lawsuits ranging from civil rights complaints to IRS tax liens; in July, a federal arbitrator awarded a former employee more than $250K in unpaid overtime but dismissed human trafficking charges. "My husband cared deeply about our customers and employees at Typhoon! They are our family," Bo Kline said in a press release. "The best way to honor his memory is to continue our commitment to our employees and patrons." [WW]
