DIVISION/CLINTON: Another spot joins Portland's increasingly overcrowded brunch fray: Jenn Louis' Sunshine Tavern announced that it'll be open for weekend brunch starting September 2. Among the options on the egg-heavy menu: pizza topped with eggs and tesa; a play on eggs Benedict featuring biscuits with ham, crispy oysters, fried eggs, and hollandaise); and pasta frittata with marinara and arugula. New brunch hours are 9am-2pm. [EaterWire]
N. WILLIAMS: John Gorham gets behind the turntables (again) during a special Labor Day benefit at Tasty N Sons — all proceeds from the $25, three-course meal (featuring Caesar salad, spaghetti and meatballs, and panna cotta) will benefit an employee recently injured in a motor-scooter accident. PEARL DISTRICT: Looks like Vino Paradiso's transition into Italian spot Coppia is complete: The grand opening is scheduled for this Thursday, September 1, and upcoming menu items include Piemontese bean soup; tajarin with wild boar ragu; and stuffed trout served with salsa verde. [EaterWire]
