HOSFORD-ABERNATHY: Southeast's Portobello Vegan Trattoria has announced a new weekend brunch service, debuting this Sunday. Menu details are still under wraps, but chef Aaron Adams promises "fresh juices, cocktails, good French press coffee, satisfying vegan dishes that won’t bog you down to nap-time, and mellow soul music playing in the background." Brunch hours moving forward are 11am-3pm; seating first-come, first-served. [EaterWire]
SOUTHEAST/HAWTHORNE: The upstarts at Otto are planning their first guest-chef dinner: A September 24 "Autumn Harvest Celebration" with Minneapolis chef Daniel del Prado will feature an entirely new menu inspired by the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna (think seven different pasta dishes, like turmeric gargati with lamb meatballs, gnocchi with braised rabbit, and mushroom ravioli; as well as seven antipasti and three secondi options). The menu will be available for one night only and a la carte, but reservations are required. [EaterWire]
SOUTHEAST: Tipsters at PortlandFood.org report that casual Italian spot Misto has shuttered after a short stint on SE Belmont. It's already been replaced by an outpost of Old Town Burger & Breakfast, an American-, Greek- and Mediterranean-influenced sandwich spot from Vancouver, WA. [PF.org]
