Tequila alert: Six local bartenders will throw down next Monday (September 26) during a "Cocktail of Death" competition held at NoPo's Trebol restaurant, with guests invited to taste some of the spoils. Bartenders Tommy Klus (Kask), Emily Baker (Beaker & Flask, Rum Club), Michael Robertson (The Driftwood Room), Nathan Gerdes (H50 Bistro, Thatch), Beckaly Franks (JoBar), and Jake Bliven (from Eugene's Sweet Basil Thai) will each concoct a tequila-based cocktail to win the right to move onto a regional final; in addition to casting votes, the drinking public can booze up with Fortaleza drink specials all night.
