Hot off the liquor license application wire: Stumptown founder Duane Sorenson has even bigger plans than expected for his corner of SE Division. In addition to the in-build-out-now Woodsman Tavern, which will combine the talents of chef Jason Barwikowski, bartender Evan Zimmerman, and a Woodstone Josper oven, paperwork reveals that a to-go market, called Woodsman Market, is slated to open right next door, and will sell beer and wine in addition to "flowers, sandwiches, cheese, and other specialty items."
According to the application, former Olympic Provisions wine director Carly Laws, who is also involved in the Tavern project, has been tapped as the market's general manager. Anticipated hours: 9am to 7pm, daily.
