New, 2 comments

OVERLOOK: The Old Gold, a neighborhood bar that counts Portland Mercury music editor Ezra Caraeff as one of its proprietors, has been in build-out mode throughout the summer, and the light at the end of the tunnel emerges: Caraeff and company are shooting for an opening during the week of October 17, "but it might be a bit later." BEAVERTON: Tipsters at PortlandFood.org report that Taste of Sichuan, a spot by the folks behind Bellvue, Wa.'s famous Bamboo Garden, is set to soft-open on NW Cornell Road by the end of this week (Friday). No menu has been revealed yet, but the selections at Bamboo Garden look something like this. [PF.org]
