PEARL DISTRICT: Metrovino's Greg Denton took home the win at this year's Wild About Game with a borderline insane "duck s'more" recipe (complete with campfire smoke), and this weekend only, the dish will be on the menu at the Pearl spot from Saturday through Monday. The official s'more rundown: seared duck breast is layered with foie gras marshmallow, graham cracker streusel, cocoa nib sauce, and chard-wrapped giblet sausage before getting the campfire smoke treatment. DOWNTOWN: Downtown Japanese izakaya Shigezo has opened a food cart: Minizo made its debut today at the SW 10th and Washington pod, inside the cart that most recently housed Red Guava. Menu features Shigezo's Abu-ramen and Japanese-style curries, in addition to burgers like chicken katsu and shrimp. [@foodcartsportland, Facebook]
DOWNTOWN: Yep, this actually exists: Bartenders at H5O Bistro have concocted a $300 cocktail that's the ultimate in booze-related stunts. Among other ingredients, the pricey Spanish coffee features Louis XIII Cognac (retail around $1,900/bottle), 150 year Grand Marnier, white truffle oil mist, and a sugar rim with gold flake.
