Fire-Damaged Kim Jong Grillin' Reborn as Bhap Sang PDX

Today in rising from the ashes (literally!): Just two months after his Korean BBQ cart Kim Jong Grillin' was irreparably damaged by a fire, chef/owner Han Ly Hwang , has officially announced plans to open a brick-and-mortar restaurant at SE 49th and Division. The new venture, titled Bhap Sang PDX (translation: "Food table Portland"), promises to "celebrate traditional Korean cuisine through new techniques, while bringing great Korean food to your table." Per an announcement on Facebook:

There is still a lot more work and construction to take care of, but we have secured our location in the same neighborhood. We will be located at SE 49th and Division. One block up from where the cart used to be! Don’t worry, we will have the same menu for lunch as well as a new dinner menu for you to enjoy. We will now offer indoor and covered out door seating. No more waiting in the rain! We would like to thank all of you out there for the well wishes and complete and total support.

Opening date still TBD.
