Free Beer & BBQ

Beer writer (and sometime Eater brew contributor) Christian DeBenedetti is celebrating the release of his new book, The Great American Ale Trail, in serious style — with free beer, obvs. A book launch party/mini seasonal beer festival is on tap for Hopworks' SE Powell location tomorrow (Wednesday), from 6-9pm. The first 100 or so folks get free beer from Hopworks, New Belgium, Sierra Nevada, and Widmer, and chefs Scott Dolich (of Park Kitchen and the Bent Brick) and Leather Storrs (of Noble Rot) will be cooking up some free BBQ. For slight latecomers, $3 beer specials are slated for the rest of the night. [EaterWire]
