Boke Bowl's Korean Fried Chicken Night Takes Flight

New, 1 comment

As promised, the lunch-only ramen-pullers at Central Eastside's Boke Bowl are spreading their wings. Boke's promised Korean fried chicken night (known on the menu as "Boke Bird") quietly made its debut to newsletter subscribers last Thursday, and starting tomorrow, will now be available every Thursday evening, from 5pm to 9:30pm.

Chef Patrick Fleming's menu — no ramen is served on chicken nights — features Boke's brined, smoked, then fried chickens available by whole and half birds — served family style with steamed buns, pickles, Korean seaweed, and green onion ginger rice as side dishes. Additional salads and sweets can be added on, and for the vegetarians out there, Korean fried tofu is also available as a protein option, served in the same style as chickens. Boke Bowl will begin taking a limited amount of reservations via Open Table in the near future — in the meantime, half the tables at tomorrow's dinner will be available on a first-come/first-served basis.
