The Oregonian has first word that oysters are soon coming to the Pearl: Pearl District cooking school In Good Taste will soon shutter to make way for a new Cajun/Creole restaurant by EaT: An Oyster Bar's Ethan Powell and Tobias Hogan. According to the O's scoop collector Michael Russell, Powell and Hogan, known for their N. Williams oyster bar, are set to open the Parish, which will offer an upscale take on EaT's familiar flavors, pairing dishes like jambalaya and picked okra with classic New Orleans cocktails. (Brunch service, with dishes like rabbit hash, is also in the works.) Also in store for the 4,000-square-foot space: A retail/wholesale oyster operation which could see the duo's business expand "three-fold."

Meanwhile, In Good Taste will hold a moving sale beginning tomorrow, January 18, and permanently close its Pearl operations on February 1. The Parish's projected opening date is set for early summer. In Good Taste's Lake Oswego location will remain open, business as usual. Stay tuned.
