The Dallas-based chicken wing chain Wingstop is making a play on the Portland market. According to a press release, the company — which currently has one local restaurant on SE 82nd and Gladstone — aims to add 15 franchises to the Portland area over the next few years. For the uninitiated, the quick-serve wing joint focuses solely on chicken, with regular wings, boneless wings, boneless strips, and nine sauces the bulk of the menu. FYI, interested franchise owners must meet the following qualification: "a minimum net worth of $400,000 and liquid capital of $200,000 is required." [EaterWire]
