The previously-announced Feast Portland, the city's first major international food and beverage festival, has signed on a big-name BFF: Bon Appétit magazine will serve as the event's national media partner. "You don't need a consumer marketing report to tell you that this town is happening," Bon App editor-in-chief Adam Rapoport tells Eater National. "It's not just the restaurants that are interesting, it's the whole spirit, the ethos, that's reflective of the food movement in America in general right now."
Feast Portland, organized locally by food-smart man about town Mike Thelin and food publicist Carrie Welch, is the first event Bon App magazine is working with since its relaunch back in May. (Bon App is also involved with national food fests Vegas' Uncork'd and Chicago Gourmet.) According to Rapoport, his role will be to "help promote, orchestrate, and recruit chefs for the event," which already counts local chefs (Naomi Pomeroy, Gabriel Rucker, Greg Denton) and national names (Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo, Seamus Mullen) as participants.
