Nat'l Mag Mentions for Andy Ricker and Bruce Carey

Esquire magazine's January edition includes the forward-thinking feature "Things We're Looking Forward To." In between all the anticipation for the upcoming Hunger Games flick, the roll-out for Don Julio 70 and the new Radiohead tour, Eater noticed a mention near and dear to Portland's heart. Seems the Big Apple-based editors at Esquire can't wait for the opening of two New York outposts for Andy Ricker's Pok Pok, calling it "one of the best reasons to go to Portland, Oregon."

Over at Paste Magazine, empire-builder Bruce Carey is #6 on a list of "The Top Ten Best Things About Portland, Ore." created by contributor Corey DuBrowa. Says the author: "in a town besotted with food carts and Voodoo Donut-style lowbrow cuisine, Carey's family of fabulous fare (from the white-tableclothed elegance of Bluehour to the farm-to-table locavore principles of clarklewis to the pan-Asian mystery of Saucebox) has made even hardcore locals forget about the late, legendary Zefiro, his initial swing for the fences of greatness."
