Winter Market to Debut; A New Cider Brewery; New McMenamins on the Coast

PSU/PARK BLOCKS: The previously announced winter series of the Portland Farmers Market kicks off tomorrow in the South Park Blocks, offering fresh produce and food every Saturday for the next eight weeks. More than 35 vendors have been tapped, including four prepared food stalls courtesy Tastebud, Verde Cocina, Salvador Molly's, and Springwater Farm. (Covered tents and heated seating areas are available to shelter eaters from Portland's famously glorious winter elements.) Starting tomorrow, the market's open 10am-2pm, through February 25. GEARHART: The McMenamins empire has announced the upcoming opening of its newest hotel property: The Gearhart Hotel on the Oregon Coast, inside the same building that houses McMenamins' Sand Trap Pub at the Gearhart Golf Links.
