Great American Distillers Fest; Sappington's Lamb Jam

DOWNTOWN—Boozehounds across the country will converge on downtown's Tiffany Center for the eighth-annual Great American Distillery Festival, pouring today and tomorrow (Saturday, October 20). Guests can sample from more than 35 different American distilleries and artisans, including local favorites like Bull Run Distilling Co., New Deal, and Rogue Spirits. Tickets are $15 for a one-day pass, including five tastes (a $25, two-day pass nets 10 tastings). More information and tickets here.

PEARL DISTRICT—Chef Adam Sappington (the Country Cat) plays host at the first-annual Portland Lamb Jam, a lamb-cooking competition set for this Sunday, October 21. Fourteen local chefs — including Wildwood's Dustin Clark, Andina's Hank Costello, and the Heathman's Michael Stanton — will serve up their lamb dishes at the Pearl's PureSpace, paired with local beer, wine, and charcuterie. Tickets to the all-you-can-eat event are $50 and available here.
