PEARL DISTRICT—On Monday, October 15, Irving Street Kitchen chef Sarah Schafer will welcome an all-star lineup of chefs (and performers) during a one-off fundraising dinner on behalf of Share Our Strength. The now-annual "No Kid Hungry" dinner features a collaborative, multi-course dinner by Schafer, Jason French (Ned Ludd), Sean Coyne (Grand Central Bakery), and visiting chefs Richard Reddington (of California's Redd Wood) and Floyd Cardoz (of NYC's North End Grill and winner of Top Chef Masters). During cocktail hour, Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter k.d. lang will perform (seriously). Individual reservations are $150, with proceeds benefiting Share Our Strength's efforts to end childhood hunger in America. Tickets and more information here. [EaterWire]
