Welcome to this week's wet-and-rainy event-planning EaterWire:

PEARL DISTRICT—This Friday, Bluehour welcomes Veuve Clicquot champagnes for an effervescent tasting menu. Chef Thomas Boyce is shelling out culinary artworks to complement the five Veuve champagnes offered. The five-course menu reads like food erotica — hors d'oeuvres like a pressed crab sandwich with caviar mayo on brioche, an entrée of veal with onion compote confit, chanterelles, sweetbreads and truffles, and finally, a fromage blanc tart with sour apple sorbet and green apple gelee. Reservations are $120 per person; call the restaurant to get one.

SE BELMONT—This Sunday (November 4), chef David Anderson will prepare five Italian courses to accompany Genoa's stash of orange wines. This rare, amber-hued wine results from contact with coloring pigments of white grape skins, producing what New York Times wine critic Eric Asimov calls one of the "most compelling and intriguing experiences to be found in a glass." Paired with dishes like beet-ricotta ravioli with poppyseed butter, oranges and baby frisee, "compelling and intriguing" sounds just about right. Reservations are $145 and available by calling the restaurant.

ALAMEDA/BEAUMONT—Johanna Ware of Smallwares is throwing a spooky shindig tomorrow for the 21+ crowd, featuring potent potions and a special Halloween menu. From 10p.m. 'til 2a.m., costumed guests can hit the punch bowl, watch horror movies projected on Barwares' big screen, and play a few games of beer pong — all sans cover charge.

DIVISION/CLINTON—Southeast Division's fancy wine purveyor Bar Avignon is practically giving away treats — no tricks here — at their all-night Halloween happy hour. In addition to crazy deals on cheese, charcuterie, mushroom risotto, and roasted vegetable salads, the bar will be offering $6 cocktails. Get your Halloween pregame on between 5 to 10p.m. More information (and the full menu) here.

N. WILLIAMS—Sundae bloody sundae! North Portland ice cream joint What's the Scoop? is hosting its first annual I-Scream Halloween party tomorrow from 6 to 10p.m. The event will feature special Halloween-themed scoops, big-screen horror movies, games and giveaways. Contests commence at 7p.m. with the Halloween trivia contest, followed by a costume contest at 8p.m. and an ice cream eating contest at 9p.m. More information here.
