SE HAWTHORNE—Bazi Bierbrasserie will participate in tonight's 2nd-annual national "Coast to Coast Toast," a celebration of Belgian beer. Events include a Lambic blending seminar with Hair of the Dog's Alan Sprints, a progressive dinner via Brewvana, and beer discounts all evening. More information here. [EaterWire]

Over the past few weeks, carts from NE Alberta to SE Clinton have seen their power cords cut — presumably so thieves can sell their copper for scrap. [Eat Beat]

GRESHAM—The Oregonian reports that Greshman's only "Portland-style" food cart (whatever that means) has transitioned into a brick-and-mortar restaurant. Best Burger and Breakfast has opened on SE Stark Street, 10 blocks away from where the cart originally stood. [OregonLive]
