Dayna McErlean is bringing another culinary space to NE Portland. Portland Monthly reports McErlean, who owns NE restaurants DOC and Yakuza, has debuted a 550-square-foot commissary kitchen a stone's throw away from her restaurant row. The spot, dubbed DASH, offers a small-scale kitchen for rent by the hour, though McErlean's ambitions extend past that: Per PoMo, hopes are for "pop-up dinners at DASH's 12-seat prep table, a makeshift coffeeshop and bakery in the mornings with cafe tables outside, cooking classes, recipe development for new restaurants, cocktail and wine tasting events, and private dinner parties."
Should the concept prove popular, "McErlean aims to open an intimate micro-kitchen in every quadrant." DASH is available for rent now; more information here.
