A couple anticipated downtown spots are readying openings for the week post-Thanksgiving, and hey, looks like they'll share the same birthday. Per ChefStable owner Kurt Huffman, the West End location of Rick Gencarelli's sandwich spot Lardo is shooting for an official opening date of November 30; meanwhile, Vitaly Paley's Portland Penny Diner, the counter-service diner inside the Hotel Lucia, announced today that it will also debut on the 30th.
