DOWNTOWN—The downtown location of NE Sandy's Case Study Coffee made its wood-paneled debut earlier this week after a six-month build-out (that featured a temporary pop-up cart to build local buzz). To accompany its coffee, Case Study's new cafe features a pastry case stocked with Bakeshop, Nuvrei, Bowery Bagels, and Petunia's Pastries. The spot will be closed for Thanksgiving tomorrow, but resumes "normal" hours on Friday: 7a.m. to 5p.m., seven days a week. [EaterWire]
CENTRAL EASTSIDE INDUSTRIAL—For those looking to play fowl the day before Thanksgiving, Boke Bowl has moved its weekly Thursday Korean fried chicken night to tonight (Wednesday), in honor of the Thanksgiving holiday. [EaterWire]
NORTHEAST—Whoa. NE Portland's Mack & Dub's Excellent Chicken & Waffles not only suffered fire damage this morning, but is now being investigated as a possible arson and hate crime. Per the Oregonian, police discovered evidence of burglary and "graffiti that could be considered a hate crime was also discovered at the business." Those with information are encouraged to contact police. [OregonLive]
