It's a busy week on this installment of the event-planning EaterWire:
WOODLAWN—NE Dekum's Firehouse launches its 2012 holiday dinner series this Monday, December 3 at 6:30p.m. by welcoming Nat West of local cidery Reverend Nat's, who will be serving dry hard ciders to accompany grilled seafood plates, pizza Bianca with chanterelles and thyme, and wood-grilled flank steak. The price is $55, pairings and gratuity included. Call the restaurant to save your seat.
DIVISION/CLINTON—Mi Mero Mole turns one year old tomorrow, and the taco-and-tequila joint is making merry by shelling out deals on deals from 4 to 9p.m. Not only does every diner get a prize (minimum is a free taco, maximum is two Blazers tickets), but MMM is also offering $4 margaritas, $2 beers, $1 jamaica or horchata, and free desserts.
NORTHEAST—Tonight, barbeque joint Podnah's Pit is offering two seatings of its all-you-can-eat specials. $45 gets diners access to nonstop smoked pork chops, ribs, sausages, bacon, sauerkraut, salads, pickled vegetables and charcuterie served alongside eight varieties of Double Mountain beers. If your bellies could use a little more abuse, shove down the additional dessert kolaches. Call Podnah's for one of the 5:30 or 8p.m. reservations.
NORTHEAST/KERNS—This Thursday, Cajun tapas restaurant Tapalaya will celebrate its fourth birthday by churning out free beignets to the musical styles of the Milneburg Jazz Band all night long. In commemoration of its long life in restaurant years, Tapalaya will also debut its brand-new deep fryer, which will let the restaurant serve beignets seven days a week from here on out.
PEARL DISTRICT—Christmas Eve is coming early this year to Riffle NW. On December 10 at 6p.m., the fish-focused restaurant will honor Feast of the Seven Fishes, an Italian tradition in which Catholics abstain from meat on Christmas Eve. Highlights from the family-style dinner include—but are by no means limited to—white anchovy pizza, pan fried whiting, stuffed clams and bucatini with lobster sauce. Dinner and pairings are $150. Reservations must be made by December 3 — email here to reserve a seat.
