New Seasons Market will expand its catering reach with the just-announced plans to build a "Central Kitchen" inside the former Tazo Tea building on SE Second Avenue. Per a press release, the 33,000-square-foot space will be converted into a "production facility" including a certified-organic bread bakery and smokehouse, marking the first off-site kitchen space for the market chain. New Seasons will start construction on the space beginning in February, with opening scheduled for September 2013. [EaterWire]
