The Portland Business Journal crunches some serious numbers to discover that downtown cart pods don't just benefit hungry lunch crowds — nearby buildings benefit from them, too. According to a study, office buildings are "significantly more occupied if they are within two blocks of one of Portland's four primary downtown food pods." Reasoning? "Proximity to food carts is showing up as a significant factor when creative companies are analyzing their location alternatives." [PBJ]
